The Grid Ficus template has an uncommon design, this three column template has a simple blog title on the left hand side and a neatly placed description on the right hand side.
Under that is a neat navigation link, its different from the rest as it allows you to have a tiny description under it. On the right hand side of the navigational menu lies a link to jump straight to the posts. The footer of the blog has a similar navigational menu except the button on the right has a jump to the top link.
The main column is slightly smaller than what I would like in width but it finds itself with dotted post separators that terminate with the comments link and date stamp. There two sidebars on the right take up as much space as the main column.
The search bar is located on the first sidebar, the widget elements boast of a bold widget header. Apart from the font size there is no distinguishing factors for the sidebar and it givers the template a very open feel to it.

I like this template. I was able to re-size side bars by changing the "px" in the html codes. But now, Blogger seems to have locked me out of the Widget Edit area in Layout. I can't add or edit the sidebars anymore. Is this a simple fix?
about the re-sizing of side bars, my email is bm0803@hotmail.com.
thks.
@ bond
did you change only the sidebar px or the entire blog, you cannot just change the sidebar px but incorporate a change for the entire blog, so if the sidebar px changes by 10 the content wrapper has to change by 10 etc

Thks Bhavika.
I'm nearly html illiterate but somehow I figured it out through extensive tinkering. Didn't realize you responded. Here's that site by the way: http://www.bondmejeh.blogspot.com. I t came out nice I think.
By the way, (in case you might know), is it possible to include a pic in the header or replace the words in the top left of grid focus template? and is flash easy to add with this template?
I want to convert this website: www.bondmejeh.com to a grid focus template "look" but I want to have a flash page as the landing page then link to rest of grid focus template. and I want the URL address for this flash page to be www.bondmejeh.com.
Here is an example: http://www.shadk.com/
I want a splash page (I think that's the term) with some flash on it and then when you click on a link on the splash page, it go to the grid focus template. In other words when I type in the URL (bondmejeh.com) I want it to go to the splash page first then lead into the grid focus template.
I don't know if this is clear or if you can help but I'm ready to clean up my sites and I'm doing some related research now.
Thks.
In the top right corner, there is a black box with the number 5 in it. When I put the code in blogger, that box just shows up empty with the words "avatar" in in. How is this fixed?
Khaetlyn:
it seems to be a recent problem.
Im using this template for about a year, and the problem appeared just a weeks ago.
I guess the images (that one, and the one aside the searchbox) were erased from wherever they were hosted.
The solution would be to find the images and re-host'em or re-locate them manually on the template code.
I love this template. But how do I remove the third column? Or resize it to 0px.

you would need to have a basic knowledge of html, look in the edit html, you would findsomething like sidebar 2 or sidebar 1 you can delete one and add the values to the other one so it fills up the space of the sidebar you deleted as well...
