The Astro blogger template is an extremely colourful two column template that has a very attractive header image and a spacey design. The navigational menu bar that is not present would complete this blog, but none the less, lets take a look what the Astro template has in store for blogspot.
A simple blog title and description goes well on the very prominent header image, the post headlines find themselves on a semi rounded section which is well designed. The post date appears on the right of the headline in a designed box.
The Author name and labels appear under this section in a thin narrow line, the comments count is place on a post separator at the end of the post. A single column sidebar is located on the right of the blog, it starts of with a unique blue RSS icon that looks like its come from another planet. Every widget header in the sidebar has stars on either side, this is a lovely Astronomy template for blogspot users!

How do I save this as my blog template??
Hey Shruti,
You need to extract it, then you need to go to your blogger dashboard layout > edit html > there will be an upload button so use that and you should be on your way.
Your widgets would need to be backed up, you can find how to do it quite easily using google search. Have fun!

I just Love and Adore this layout, and I truly want to use it for my blog at: http://historyofastrology.blogspot.com/ (it does not look good right now) because I am trying to upload this layout, but there seems to be some sort of error, which I am not able to figure out, and I cannot find anything under Blogger-help-forum. Could you please help me to upload this awsome layout?
When Blogger ask's for confirmation, that I want my wigdets deleted, I try to confirm and save, but here blogger cracks down and gives me an error page.
Would you have a quess as to what I am doing wrong?

after upload & preview my blog, the image / background cann't appear on my blog. so what i have to do?

You need to delete your widgets manually and then upload the template it will work that way

You should try to host the image on your own google page!

No man, they are not additional widgets, just go to the page elements and put in the feed url there in the recent posts section and voila!!

Hi, I just downloaded this template (and modified the heading image and title location)...
however, the post date does not seemed to appear in the designated box (and not showing anywhere) as you suggested in the description!
is there anything wrong with it?

@mintshung - I think you are mixing up the date and time stamp, please change the time stamp and not the date stamp from Settings--Formatting
