Italian Food Blogger Theme

Italian Food as the name suggests is a 2 column food theme created by Chica Blogger. The blogger template comes with featured slider, social media icons, twitter widget and 3 column footer.

To set up the slideshow, go to Template--Edit Html and look for the below code -

Now replace '#' with your post link, change the title, image link and image alt text, follow the same steps for all the slides. Make sure all images are 900 x 300px. Above the slider in the menu bar are the social media icons - Facebook, twitter and RSS - you can change the links from Edit Html, click on 'Expand widget templates' and find the following code -

Replace '#' with your social ids and save the changes. The main column has the usual format of displaying post summary with thumbnails along with author, date and comments.

The sidebar has an integrated search box, and the bottom of the main column is the twitter widget that shows your latest tweet. You need to insert your twitter handle from Edit Html -

Simply replace 'claudiacs' with your own id, it appears twice in the code. The 3 column footer can be used to show blogger widgets of your choice.

Prof Owl Blogger Template

Prof Owl is a 2 column blogger template designed by WP Themes Expert and coded for blogger by Falcon Hive.

It has a simple layout and colour scheme. The header section is cute with an owl image on the side and the navigation bar below it where the links appear automatically on creating blog pages.

The columns are designed in a notebook format and it has the date stamp pinned on the side. It also includes a custom search box embedded in the sidebar, followed by blogger widgets that look like papers clipped together.

Its a nice theme to use if you have a personal diary blog or on random thoughts etc.

Glamour Neue, Photo Blog Template

Glamour Neue is a 3 column photo blog template created by DZignine. Its a lovely theme to showcase your photos featuring a slider, thumbnails below it and 3 column footer.

To edit the slider, go to Edit Html and look for the below code -

Now replace the first '#' with image link or post link, 'img.jpg' with your image, repeat the same steps for subsequent code. Keep the image width 900 px. When you click on the image it becomes a single column theme, and details like author, date stamp and labels appear below the post headline.

You can tweak the background, text color, font, etc via 'Template Designer'. Also you can change the scrolling speed of the slider from Edit Html, look for 'speed' and change its value. While you can utilise the footer to add more blogger widgets.

Waka Waka Time For Africa Blog Theme

With the football World Cup fever rising across the world, here's a blogger template to note down your feelings, views, opinions about your favorite team and players. Waka Waka Time For Africa is a 2 column football theme Designed by EZwpthemes and converted to blogger by Anshul.

This template has a steady background image of a football stadium with the 2 columns scrolling on it. The header has images of various players and the World Cup placed at the center, where you can add your blog title and a brief summary.

Below that is the main column and the left sidebar. At the start of the main column is the menu bar to display your categories, and below it each post appears with a football icon next to the headline. Post details like the date stamp, labels appear after the headline, and social bookmarking icons, author and comments come at the end of the post.

The sidebar includes a small welcome section at the top where you can write down any message for your readers. Below it is the search box and RSS subscribe icon to help readers keep updated with the latest posts. Additional blogger widgets can be included below that.

Vacation Fun is a travel theme designed by EZwpthemes and converted to blogger by Theme Craft.

Its a 2 column template with a cool header image, that makes it a good theme to document your travel journeys. The blog headline and tagline appears at the center of the image. The menu bar blends with the header image, and can be used to display your categories, while on the right is a neat RSS icon.

The main column starts with the post headline and the post details like author, labels, time and date stamp appear below the post and comments are at the bottom of the post.

The single sidebar on the right starts with an internal search box, then a welcome note for your readers followed by the default blogger widgets. This theme also has a 2 column footer space where you can add your recent posts and comments.

Kaleidoscope Blogger Template

Kaleidoscope is created by EZwpthemes and brought to blogger by Theme Craft.

This 2 column template has different sketches of flowers and patterns which makes it an artistic theme. The blog title goes right on top, below that is a short box to include a welcome note for your readers.

While the RSS feed icon is placed on the left, the menu bar is on the right of it. Also below the menu bar is a search box. The main column looks like a torn paper from a diary and each post has the social bookmarking icons at the end of it.

The single sidebar, though a bit narrow, can be used to add Archives, labels, about me etc. At the bottom of the template comes the Recent Posts and Recent Comments tabs. To activate that you access Layout-Page Elements, then click on 'Edit' of ‘Recent Posts’ and paste the code below into the gadget -

Floral Day Blogger Template

Floral Day is a neatly designed 2 column template that has been converted to blogger by Girly Blogger and was originally designed by Simply WP.

Floral Day is a pleasant-looking template based on scrapbook materials and sewing. The navigation bar is right on top above the header and hover on links appear in a nice underlined style.

In the header you can add few blog description lines, while the main column starts with the post headline and labels and the date stamp seems as if its attached to the column. The comments will be comes below the post in a separate bar. The sidebar starts with the search box and then comes the link list, archives etc.

What I liked about this template apart from the design is the 3 horizontal columns at the bottom, so it gives you more space to put your Recent comments, posts, About and so on. Most of the 2 column templates lack this feature.

Genki Blogger Theme

Our friend Gosu Blogger is back in action after quite a while, but hes gotten us a lovely template called Genki. Originally created for wordpress by Ericulous, Genki means cheerfulness, vibrancy and vitality in Japanese.

The Genki blogger theme has a minimalistic design, but includes one very rocking feature. The blue tabs along with the RSS button feed on the left hand side of the template scroll as you scroll up and down the template.

The rest of it is very plain, although this template has its labels with the same font size as the headlines just below the headline along with the time stamp on the left. The comments link is at the bottom of the post, the two sidebars are located on the right hand side of the template, with nothing much to talk about them.

The readers may have a little issue when it comes to understanding where the main column ends and where the sidebar starts. Apart from that this template is really very neat, to say the least, if you like go ahead and download it.

Premium Blogger Template

A loaded preimum wordpress template created by R. Bhavesh and ported to blogger by Jacky Supit.

What can I say about this template its absolutely one of the best blogger templates that has so many features in it that you will require a bare minimum when it comes to customization or addition of tweaks.

Lets star off with the top you have a subscribe to email or feed situated at the top right had side of the blog header. The header is easily customized to your own blog title and feedburner email subscription with the following code.

In the blogge version the Search and Categories are present but the Archives are not in the same box. Just under that is a box where you can have three 100 * 100 boxes mainly for advertisments. The recent posts display under that, all these features are included into the top half of the right sidebar which is a single coloumn.

The lower half of the sidebar then breaks up into two columns where you can add your widgets from bloggers content managment system. This template has an extremly professional look and can be used for a variety of blogs, it kind of looks techy for me but any serious blogger would like this template.

Dilectio Blogger Template

The Dilectio blogger template has been ported by Jacky Supit and is also called as the wow or smashing blogger template. I prefer the word Dilectio, given to us by its orignal creator Design Disease who created this template for wordpress.

This theme was created for a contest run by Smashing Magazine who asked for a “simple, beautiful and user-friendly” template. It definetly maages to do that and its the same template that this blog uses.

Dilectio is the latin word for “love, solicitude, esteem”. The creator of the template states that it’s a rather atmospheric theme and to achieve this effect he started from scratch to make this template give a feeling, the rounded shape that is repeating randomly, creates a beautiful and original rhythm.

I really appreciate this template and it is by far one of the most beautiful templates I have seen for blogger. Although the blogger version seems to have a bug where the Author name does not appear.

The solution to the author problem is rather simple, go to the edit html settings of this template, expand widgets and search for the code highlighted below.

Smashing Blogger Template Author Problem

Once you find the code below change the post.Author to post.author and save the template. This should get this bug fixed, if you have a problem with the date not appearing then take a look at this post. I do hope you enjoyed this free blogger template, lots more coming soon.
