Although I feel the choice of colours could make this template pretty lively, the functionality of this template is really good as it has a lot of space for widgets to be added, it comes with expandable posts and a recent articles widget.
The template is meant to have only one post on the home page, the rest of the articles can be seen via the recent articles widget. Of course these settings can be changed.
