Viewport, a Unique Blogger Theme edit post

Posted by Bhavika On Friday, July 30, 2010 2 comments
Viewport is a pretty unique 2 column theme converted by Wordpress to Blogger. The template basically displays your blog posts in a picture format, so it instantly captures your readers attention.
viewport blogger theme The layout of this theme is neat and simple. The blog title on top, followed by the menu bar, which also includes the RSS subscribe icon, and the search box on the extreme right. The post area is in the form of a slider, that shows a fairly big image (940 x 600 pixels), the headline appears on top and the post summary at the bottom right corner. On clicking the headline, readers will be taken to the post page.

To put up your posts, go to Posting--New Post and add the below code -

<img class="homeimage" src="IMAGE URL" alt="" width="940" height="600" />
<img class="singleimage" src="IMAGE URL" alt="" width="940" height="300" />
<div class="entry">POST</div>

For home image, you need to add class="homeimage" and for a single image, put class="singleimage".

On entering the post, the image will automatically display in a banner format, then comes a box with your post details - the date stamp, labels and comments. The theme is really cool, the relevant posts in labels and archives also appear in a sliding panel, in a small box frame. Additional instructions are given in the download folder.

The right hand sidebar, that shows up on entering a post, includes the previous and next post along with different blogger widgets. Its a great theme to use for a professional or a photo blog, to make a presentation, display creative work etc.

Letter Frame is a 3 column theme designed by Template Lite and converted to blogger by Falcon Hive. Letter Frame Blogger Theme
The header is styled in a letter format which is interesting, because the blog title fits at the top, then the search box and RSS icon are integrated as well, followed by the menu bar. The RSS icon has been designed in the form of a letter stamp, that blends well with the theme.

You can add your RSS feed link by clicking on Edit HTML and search for the code below and edit it with corresponding item:

<a class='rss' href='RSS-LINK-HERE' title='RSS Feed'/>

The main column appears on a grungy design, and has the author and date stamp below the headline, while the labels and comments come at the bottom of the post. The 2 columns in the sidebar can be used to add more blogger features to your template. Letter Frame is suited for a personal blog, pen down your random thoughts or even a travel blog.

Smoky Blogger Theme edit post

Smoky template has been converted to blogger by Free Blogger Template and originally designed by Skinpress. Smoky Blogger Theme
The 2 column theme has an interesting layout. The header is narrow so there is just about enough space to fit your blog title, and at bottom right of it is the search box. Now comes the interesting part, Smoky template has a featured posts in the form of a numbered slider. So on clicking the number, the corresponding slide or featured post shows up, where you can add post headline, few lines of the post and an image. Each slider also comes with the 'read more' link at the bottom.

To add content for featured posts, go to Edit HTML, search for the code below and change the links.

<div id='board_body'>
<h2>Featured Posts</h2>
<div id='board_carusel'>
<div class='belt'>
<div class='board_item'>
<!-- board_item -->
<p><img alt='IMG ALT' src='IMAGE URL'/><strong><a href='YOUR POST URL'></a></strong> YOUR POST SUMMARY...</p>

<p class='more'><a href='YOUR POST URL'>Readmore</a></p>
<!-- /board_item -->

Adjacent to that is the twitter icon to link your twitter profile. Then comes the navigation bar to browse through the sections on your blog, this bar also has a dropdown menu to add sub-categories.

The main column has the regular layout. The post headline and below that is the labels, time stamp and a speak out icon. Each post has the Read more feature integrated that gives a neat look to the blog. The sidebar has got the subscribe option on top and then ad space to place sponsorship links etc. Then you can add any blogger widgets of your choice.

Zinmag Tribune Blogger Template edit post

Falcon Hive is on a roll, he has converted yet another professional looking beautiful template, Zinmag Tribune Blogger template, that was originally designed by Jinsona Design. Zinmag Tribune blogger template
This feature-rich newspaper-style template gives you ample of space to display your content. Zinmag Tribune, a 4 column template, has two navigation bars, the top one above the header can be used to put your contact, home, archives links etc. While the one below the header has a dropdown menu to put all your categories and sub-sections.

The header is simple with the subscribe to your feed option on the right side of the text. A useful feature on Zinmag Tribune is the content scroller, where you can place your featured content or top posts. Below it is a content glider, which is quite appealing. When you hover on the image, the headline and a small description of the post appears at the bottom, and of course your readers can glide through your latest content.

Then are four boxes to add more content and each one has the expandable post feature enabled, and after that is another mini-post section, Zinmag Tribune definitely has lot of features. The top of the sidebar has video section too, so all your favorite videos can be uploaded here. Footer of Zinmag Tribune Blogger Template A regular feature on many blogs is an ad section to put your sponsors or display ads. Below it comes the tabber, which makes the blog look lot neater.
