Sumatera is a 2 column photography blogger template created by Urang Kurai. Its a simple template with minimalist features and a unique way of displaying photos.
The vertical menu bar appears in the left hand sidebar along with the category blogger widget. While the latest posts show up in suspended frames, similar style to Pinterest, and it also has nice hover on effects. Post pages come with social media sharing icons and the in-built commenting system is also very neat.

Lightroom is a lovely photography blog template created by Dzignine. Its a 2 column template that displays photos in gallery format on the home page and sidebar on the left. Lightroom is available in two styles basic and advanced, lets take a look at some of the features.
In the basic version only one image of 740x740 appears on the home page while in the advanced style the entire photo gallery loads. The theme has a switchable background which is easy to change via template designer (in old Blogger interface) or 'Customize' (in new Blogger interface) then locate the 'background' tab. Select a background from blogger's default list or upload your own.
Change blog font colours etc. from Template Designer, although the theme comes with an attractive font - Times New Roman - which enhances the overall look of the blog. In order to insert your own blog logo in the header, go to Layout or Page Elements, click on edit 'Header' and upload your file.
The menu bar appears below the logo in the left sidebar along with blogger widgets like Popular Posts, Archives, Categories. Currently, the blog is aligned to the left, you can center align it by adding the below code after #outer-wrapper { from Edit Html.

Aku Boonto template is the latest creation of a new designer in the blogging scenario called Boonto. The few templates made by him are quite interesting and creative. 
This 3 column template has a background image of black and grey stripes. The header has narrow space to fit in the blog title and description, while on the right side of the header you can your latest twitter update. Many of the newer templates have the twitter feature incorporated in them. Below this is the menu bar for the categories and a search box.
The transparent main column has a separate date stamp in a square box, and the comments and labels also appear in a box below the post. I think this is by far one of the most beautiful black templates that I have seen so far. The main colour is black, with a touch of gray and a hint of orange. The blog title is displayed with a fluorescent orange tinge, the post headline and the comments link has the same colour.
The header is seperated by a gray strip, the part of the strip over the main column hosts a couple of links, not enough, perhaps space enough for two or three, but it holds a dull RSS icon that shines bright on a mouse hover. The part of the strip over the sidebars hosts the search widget.

The sidebar elements have a very beautiful mouse hover as you can see in the image, the overtime link is hovered on. Each element also has a well defined header, and not to miss the orange hover on for the older posts button.
After you upload the XML Template file, do not preview your blog untill you go to Layout and add at least one link to the "Top Menu" widget. To see the post date your Timestamp style needs to be "Wednesday, January 30, 2008".

The Charcoal template is another template designed by Jinsona and ported to blogger by Blogger Tricks. So soon we shall see a lot more templates for wordpress as Kranti is a new porter to have joined the list.
The Charcoal blogger template is an artistic template with the color black as it essence. The template is extremly well designed, if you take a look at the top left corner we have a nice artistic design there.
Apart from that just below the header is the navigational menu, the top left of the post has a bright orange indicator, while the top right has the date holder. The bottom of every post has a jump to the top link, which is also present at the end of the template. The bottom left of the post has the comments counter, although the back to top icon and the comments icon are misaligned in Opera.
The sidebar is adorned with three icons on the top the RSS, Delicious and Technorati icons. The link lists on the sidebar have a hover on highlight, coming to think of it the blog is quite simple as well, I think it would make a good photoblogger template as well.

The sunflower template, I guess that's what Podsolnuh means, a
simple rounded three column template, with black, grey and blue as its primary colours.
Now this template has a slightly heavy image for a header that could be optimized to load faster. The title of the blog is seen right on the top of the template, the search bar is incorporated on the top right. Both the sidebars are on the right hand side, unfortunately they can't hold an island advertisement.
The labels, author and time are all located under the headline of the title, I seem to be a little bored with these template updates, the truth is our AdSense revenue on my main blog has gone down. It's kind of upsetting :(

It's quite rare to find blogger templates with just one column, thanks to Jack Supit who converted this template that was originally designed for wordpress by Mauricio from Themey.
The blog has the shape of the iphone with a very beautiful header image and some neat navigational menu links under it. But that's where the beauty of this template ends, unless you are willing to customize it a little.
If you see the colour of the post titles is dull grey that kindof blends with the colour of the background of the template. Hence it becomes very difficult to read the titles as well as the dark pink colour links make it quite obnoxious.
There is a search bar in the footer that I suggest you convert into atleast a two column footer to make more use of the space, apart from the colour of the links and the headers this template is definetly a blog worthy single column template.

This template is very elegant, sleek and modern. It has no images to ensure a super fast load, it has a technicolour approach with red, black and grey giving it a very artistic feel to it.
The overall design and placement of buttons advertisements spots and the look of the post date make this one of the most unique templates every designed for blogger. The top of this template is black, below that is red with a navigational menu, under that is your post area on the left, the first sidebar houses two ad spots, under that is a box for your widgets or text, above the ads are three very well made icons for your home about and contact.
On the extreme right is a thinner sidebar where you can put whatever you feel like, that's not where it ends. If you take a look at the footer below you have three nice fat columns to use. This template can really hold a lot of stuff in it and I'm glad its an original and not a converted templates, thanks to Amanda, you rock!
