We realized that most of the time, we have tried to provide professional blogger themes and have fallen back on providing some refreshing casual themes for blogspot. So the Not a Monster Blogger Template created by Insight Your Blogger is one of these templates that give a casual feel to any blogger no matter how serious the content will be.

The Not a Monster Template is a two column template but boasts of a footer that has three columns. This monster template is unique from the start of the header section that is a creased piece of paper that also holds the description.

The main column starts off with a navigation bar that does not span the entire width of the blogs as a monster seems to be chewing on the sidebar. Each post starts off with the post date and then comes the headline followed by the author, time stamp and comments count.

You have to appreciate the use of colours as well in this theme the pastel shades make the blog quite colourful. The post section ends with the labels at the bottom of it and the sidebar comes with a label cloud.

The footer looks like a blue ocean made out of creased paper once again and is divided into three columns, it also has a cross column section that allows you to put in an AdSense link unit that spans the entire width of the blog.

Here we have another template ported to blogger by Falcon Hive and originally designed for wordpress by ChiQ. Lets take a look at what this template has in store for us.

Transparency is a feature rich and crisp blogger template, it has a neat design that gives a blog a very organized feel. The blog starts with a navigation bar that has a hover on effect, this is placed on the left while the right hand side has a subscribe to RSS link.

Below that is the blog title on the left with the blog description under it while on the right hand side is a neatly placed small about me section that can hold a thumbnail image and has a more link that can lead to the about page for example.

There is a tiny spacer after this section and then you have a separate box for a featured post, this as well holds a medium sized image and has a read more link. After the featured box the template divides into the main column and the side column on the right.

The main column starts off with the post date on the left and the right hand side is the comments count followed by the post headline. The post body ends with the labels in a separator, followed by the next posts date and comment count. The drawback of transparency is that there is no default search bar built into it so you will have to create one or put in a google custom search bar.

Theres nothing great about the sidebar, no special features except that it starts as a single column template and then divides into two columns, you can add any widgets that you like in it, but overall the template does have a very pleasant feel.

Aku Boonto template is the latest creation of a new designer in the blogging scenario called Boonto. The few templates made by him are quite interesting and creative. This 3 column template has a background image of black and grey stripes. The header has narrow space to fit in the blog title and description, while on the right side of the header you can your latest twitter update. Many of the newer templates have the twitter feature incorporated in them. Below this is the menu bar for the categories and a search box.

The transparent main column has a separate date stamp in a square box, and the comments and labels also appear in a box below the post. The sidebar starts with a tabber and below that is the chat box, which makes the blog more interactive. You can remove it if you don't like the feature, and then the side column splits into two more columns. Aku Boonto also comes with a 3 column footer where you can add your video, about me, top commentators etc. Its a nice design by Boonto, integrated with lot of features.

Designed by Templates Novo Blogger, Agosto is an original theme for blogspot users which was converted from the default Blogger template Minima.
Agosto is a 3 column template with a simple black and grey header, which can be easily customised, and a navigation menu bar. The main column has a white background with the date stamp and headline while at the end of the post comes author, time, labels and comments.

This template has minimum design, with a clean look. The sidebar first is single column where you can add your recent posts, and it then splits into two columns to place your additional content. Each heading appears in a black box.

Like many blogger templates nowadays, Agosto too has 3 columns in the footer, so it gives you sufficient space to display your content. Since the design is minimal and not too specific, Agosto can be used for blogs catering to different topics.

Bontoo seems to like eggs and so do I, the I love egg template is a nice theme for any egg lover :D Once again its a casual theme but has some exciting elements that revolves around eggs.

The I love egg theme has a very natural feel to it with the colours used, elements like the sky with clouds and everything gets egg shaped strawberry and other elements like the bears in the sidebar.

The template starts off with a sign board that holds the blog title and description, with the egg shaped strawberry on the right that welcomes visitors :) The main column and sidebar have the same background with rounded corners, this is placed on a green background with tiny hearts. The post headlines in the main column have a little drawn flower besides them in an egg layout.

The block quotes come with three boiled eggs side by side, that really looks quite cute. The bottom of the theme has the author date with a date stamp, under that is the post separator that has the comment count as well as the labels in it.

The sidebar has an egg shaped teddy bear which is the header for each widget, while each link in the sidebar has a neat little green downward icon besides it.

Birdie’s Springtime template is a cute-looking theme originally designed for blogger by Gisele Jaquenod. If you have seen her earlier templates, Birdie's Secret Garden and Birdie's Good Life, she makes simple and pleasing blogger themes.
Birdie’s Springtime is a 2-column template with a simple white layout and few spring flowers used for separating the main column and left sidebar.

There is no header as such except the birdie, a regular feature in all her designs, and the floral look. You can also add a blog description below the headline, while the main column has the date stamp with a flower next to it, and the bottom of the post comes the author name, time, comments and labels.

The left hand column gives you space to add About me page, your favorite blogs, links etc., labels and so on. Birdie’s Springtime is suitable for a blog with less content, or a personal diary or poetry blog.

Here comes an impressive template from Productive Dreams called Imprezz that was ported to blogspot by Falcon Hive.

Well Gopal Raju is well know for his beautiful wordpress layouts and we are glad the Alvaris has converted it for us. This three column template may not have sliders and gliders like the Zinmag series but, its got outstanding design.

Theres a barely noticeable menu bar above the main column and two sidebars on the right hand side. The main column has a big post date icon on the left and ends with a nice strip of blue with the comments icon on the right.

The next column, the one in the middle is what gives life to this template, its widget header appears to wrap around the black column and makes it look somewhat like a modern building. The top of the column has an image that holds the blog title and can be replaced by yours.

The last column on the right hand side has a twitter follow me button as well as your latest twitter update for people to see. Go ahead and get Imprezzed!

WP Blogger Themes has converted a nice wordpress theme called Aerodrome to blogger. The original author of the theme was Joe Fischler of TheBuckmaker.
Aerodrome is a 3 column template that comes with modifiable and transparent background image, so you can choose an image that suits your blog theme. The template has two navigation bars - above and below the header - and nowadays many templates come with this feature.

The header comes with an ad space and RSS icon on the extreme right. The main post structure is designed in the form of separate boxes for each post, with the date stamp and comments appearing separately on the left.

While the second column also contains ad space, although the second and third columns are a bit narrow and have fixed width. The third sidebar is transparent, which gives a nice effect to the theme.

The Magazeen Blogspot theme pushes a two column template beyound the normal, the template was designed for wordpress by We Function, distributed on Smashingmagazine and most importantly converted to Blogger by Zona Cerebral.

Its rare to have a two column template that can display a lot of your content, so when you come across a template called Magazeen, you automatically expect it to feature a lot of content but does this template live upto its name? In short not really a Magazine template, but definetly worth trying out on a blog that does not feature too much content!

Don't get me wrong the template definely is cooler than most two columns, not just because of its jazzy design theres something more to it than just that. But lets start off from the begining, the header holds the blog title, the description is above it while a search bar is embedded on the right in it.

Under that is a navigation menu that spans the width of the page and also has a hover on effect. On the right of the menu is a tiny RSS icon, under the navigation bar is a beautiful thumbnail display of your featured posts. This display spans the width of the blog as well that can feature over eight of your favorite posts, with a mouse hover there is a shadow effect as well as the headline of the post is displayed over it.

The post section features a huge portion for comments, hopefully you have a lot of commentators on your blog, or a huge icon like this one with a 0 in it will be quite ridiculous. The big headline is above it and on the right hand side of it is the Author and Time Stamp.

Under the post area, there is a thin line dividing it from the read more link that is placed on the left and the labels are on the right. The sidebar is fairly normal and apart from that the next interesting part in the template is the footer that is divided into two sections. One section that holds the categories has a beautiful hover on change, the other side can be used to hold any widget you like as well.

Vikiworks Infinity blogger template is one of the unique templates I have come across. Originally created by a Chinese designer Yichi, it has been ported by Blogger FAQs.
Infinity has a lovely header based on the nature theme and it includes the navigation bar and on the top right corner placed on a branch is the twitter and RSS button. So you can link your twitter to your blog as well.

The main column is different as compared to the regular blogger themes. Instead of each post appearing below each other, the first image in each post comes in a box with the post headline and number of comments.

In case your post starts with only text, then few lines from the introduction comes in the box, or image and text both will appear if the size of the image is small. You can experiment with the style and image size. The search box is right on top of the main column.

While in the sidebar you can have your comments, archives, labels and other links etc. There is also a slideshow feature integrated in the template, so you can display your best pictures there. The footer has a different image as well, similar to a desk theme. Since the template has several images, it would make sense to reduce the size or resize so the page loads faster, but otherwise its a nice template to use for an art, creative work or photography blog.

There are very few single column blogger templates, so when a different one comes by I am overjoyed to put it up on the blog. Today we have the Tiny Studio template that was created by Pelangi Petang Productions for wordpress and ported to blogger by Zona Cerebral, lets see what this 1 column template has to offer!

Most of the single column templates are used for photoblogs, though this one has more of a diary style theme, perhaps its because of the background image in the post of the notepad and pencil. Apart from that this template has some artwork in the background, the grass and plants that kick start the top of the design, some grass also finds it way to the end of the main column ending the design.

A header banner can be easily put in, and under that we have the navigation menu that has a hover on colour change. The Post header has a darkened colour, a prominent post date with the labels under the headline. The Author name and the comment count are below the post. Most single column templates have interesting footers, this skin has its footer divided into two columns, recent posts and a blog roll.

Each entry in the footer widgets comes with a neat icon besides it, that makes it quite interesting. Its nice to see a new single column layout with a structure that is not an exact structural copy as most of them end up being. If you like it you can download it from the link below :)

Jinsona perhaps by far is one of the best webdeveloper with free wordpress templates that are being recently converted to Blogger. Now we have a relatively new person called Daru, who goes by the name of Cahaya Biru who has begun porting these templates to blogger. Gamezine is a game review or gaming template for blogger with loads of features.

To start off with Gamezine has some massive javascript features, there's a featured post glider that automatically or manual changes the slide to display latest content. Under that is another slider that changes multiple slides at a time, three to four, this ends the featured section and under that there is a tab division that has three tabs that have slide downs to show content!

Impressive, to say the least because apart from that the template has two menus, one above the header and the one below the header has a drop down, with categories and sub categories. Every part of this template design is suited to the theme, the font of Gamezine is the Farcry font while the images have a particular modern rusty look.

The sidebar has a customized side search design, and it starts off with a video holding container that adds variety of content on the homepage. There's a Top Posts of the week section that has to be updated manually so that can be tedious.

The bottom of the home page hosts a mini post section that displays a preview of a post with a read more and comments link. Floral Day is a neatly designed 2 column template that has been converted to blogger by Girly Blogger and was originally designed by Simply WP.

Floral Day is a pleasant-looking template based on scrapbook materials and sewing. The navigation bar is right on top above the header and hover on links appear in a nice underlined style.

In the header you can add few blog description lines, while the main column starts with the post headline and labels and the date stamp seems as if its attached to the column. The comments will be comes below the post in a separate bar. The sidebar starts with the search box and then comes the link list, archives etc.

What I liked about this template apart from the design is the 3 horizontal columns at the bottom, so it gives you more space to put your Recent comments, posts, About and so on. Most of the 2 column templates lack this feature.

The Spring Nostalgia Blogspot Template was created by Nate Tucker for a friend of his, he shared it since the design came out much to his liking, though the template will need to be worked on if you want to use it!

So if you are stuck in the flower power era, theres nothing wrong with that, our world needs a lot of happy shinny people to restore the balance :) So if you are a hippy blogger the spring nostalgia template will be perfect for your online diary

Apart from the beautiful flowers, theres a lot of graffiti embedded on the templates background like the peace symbol and hearts. Not to forget the smiley to greet every visitor that stops by. An RSS icon and search bar are placed near the flowery image, though the header supports only one line of blog title that can be seen in the image the title goes out of the provided space.

The header elements have a paint brush style kind of design, the two sidebars on the left are separated by a binding wire design from the main column. The words my journal is scribbled on top of where the main posts section is and there is a pencil adorning the right hand side of the template.

The block quote section has a beautiful design of a diary as well, although there is an issue with the header that I cannot seem to figure out!

Designed by Productive Dreams, the Blak Magik theme has been converted to blogger by Ipiet. Its one of those themes which has minimal design but is yet attractive.

Blak Magik is a 2 column template with a neat and simple layout comprising a dark wooden background. The header can be customised to fit in your image, and there also top links included in the right side of the header, which also has the RSS button and seems like a slightly flawed hover on display. Below that is the menu bar on the left that has a simple hover on color change and a neatly designed search box.

The main column is simple but the comments icon is quite interesting; the number of comments appear as a splash. Then you have the headline below that is author name, labels and date stamp. Each post area has been divided with a nice design that makes it quite prominent.

The sidebar can be used to create your labels section, archives, about me page etc. All the sections have a wooden header, while the footer allows you to place some stylish links on the bottom right. Blak Magik template is meant for bloggers that are not looking for too many features in their template, but a stylish design.
